Summer into Fall
Wow! Can you believe summer is practically over? Well, neither can we. Which means Trinity’s big 150th celebration is practically right around the corner. The team has been busy planning this amazing, one of a kind event, there are still some details that need to be put in place, but rest assured it is all coming together nicely.
Are you still interested in joining us for the banquet luncheon on November 2? Then please send in your RSVPs by September 15. If you are still interested in putting together a family picture board, please see Jan Wolff.
Can’t make the luncheon, then please join us for our special worship on November 3. Not only will we be celebrating Trinity’s past, present, and future, but we will be holding up those we have lost in the past and present in a special All Saint’s portion of worship.
Not many churches can say they have made it this far, and Trinity and her congregants past and present are very proud of our church heritage. So please join us as we celebrate a 150 years of worship.
The Invitations Are Hot Off the Presses
The invitations were mailed this week. If you have not received your invitation by August 1, please contact Marlene at 262-246-3258 and let her know. There will be a box designated for your RSVP in the Gathering Place.
Have an idea to celebrate Trinity’s 1550th, than please stop by for our next team meeting. It is at Trinity on August 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the dining hall.
The Planning Continues
There has been a lot of action within the 150th Anniversary planning team since the team was organized.
“Save the Date Cards” have been designed and printed. Some have already been mailed. Keep sending us names of people you know from Trinity’s past.
Members will receive their “Save the Date Cards” in the Trinity Bells.
Caterer has been secured for the November 2nd luncheon. Menu items will be decided shortly and we are pleased to say a vegetarian entree will be included and delicious homemade designer cupcakes will be an exceptional treat.
Family History Boards are underway and we continue to ask families to participate. Should you wish some information about the picture boards or help, please contact one of the team members listed below. Special 150th graphics for invitations and place mats are 90% complete.
Interviews with the home bound will be scheduled shortly. We’re excited to have these special members share their thoughts, wishes and memories with the congregation and guests. Video interviews will be shown during Saturday afternoon activities.
A very creative centerpiece idea to grace the tables has been chosen.
Our next project is creating the invitations.
And there is still plenty to do with planning such a big celebration. Won’t you join us? Ideas and people power are welcome!
