Pentecost and Confirmation Sunday
Please join us as we move into the season of Pentecost.
What does Pentecost mean in the church? At Pentecost, through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, people from every tongue, race, and nation are brought together in Jesus Christ. God has reconciled us individually to himself through his son Jesus, and through him we have been made one body in the church.
Also, we will be celebrating the confirmation of Chloe Brown as we bring her into our faith family. A reception will follow service down in the dining hall.
Communion will be served on this day.
All are Welcome.
Memorial Weekend Worship
Please come and join us for our annual Memorial Weekend Worship service as we honor American’s who were lost defending our country.
All are Welcome to this special service.
Celebrating Mother’s Day
To celebrate all the women of Trinity the CNF Committee will be handing out plants as our special women enter the sanctuary. Not only do we celebrate our mothers but our sisters, nieces, and friends, our Sunday mornings are brighter with you.
After service, come down to the dining hall for a special coffee hour hosted by Cup of Life. Enjoy some hot coffee or tea and homemade delights.
Let’s all gather to say THANK YOU and that we appreciate you being part of our life.
"Everyone's Book Club"
Everyone is invited to be part of Trinity's book club. You do not need to be a member of the church, just have a love of reading good books.
The current book we are reading is "The Four Winds" by Kristin Hannah. It takes place in Texas during the Great Depression.
The next book club meeting is Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the church dining hall so there is plenty of time to read this book. We always have great discussions regarding the subject matter at our gatherings.
Some copies are available to be handed out. Please call the church office at 262-781-9378 to find out how you can get your copy.
We would love to have you join us.
Join Us for Easter Breakfast
Sunday, March 31st, Easter Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., after the early service. This Breakfast event is a potluck, all items prepared by the congregation. We have a list of foods that will be needed for our breakfast. The sign-up sheet for these items will be available after service on March 3rd. Bring your appetite, your dish to pass and your joy for this Easter celebration.
Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday is a special time of scripture, songs, and the message of Christ rising. At Trinity we celebrate Easter Sunday with a beautiful Sunrise service that Pastor Dan hosts in the south parking lot at Trinity. Following the Sunrise Service, we break bread together at our Easter Breakfast, and following that is our traditional Easter Sunday Service.
Times are as follows:
Sunrise Service - 7:30A (Typically outside, but will be inside if weather is inclement)
Easter Breakfast -8:30A
Traditional Easter Worship Service - 10:00A
Celebrate with us for all three events or just one, come as you are because all are welcome in our space.
Christ is Risen Indeed!
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
John 11:25-27 (NIV)
Good Friday
On Good Friday, please join us at Trinity for a joint worship service with Redeemer UCC Sussex. There will be scripture, song, prayer and communion by intinction. The communion is a reminder of Jesus’ last supper on this somber evening.
All are Welcome.
The Death of Jesus
Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19: 28-30 (NIV)
Maundy Thursday
On this Holy Thursday we celebrate the last meal of Jesus Christ by partaking in a symbolic seder meal. We celebrate and remember with readings, songs, food and wine (red and white).
The Symbolic Seder Meal consists of multiple components:
Beitzah (Hard Boiled Egg)
Karpas (Vegetables dipped in salt water)
Chazeret and Maror (Bitter Herbs aka Horseradish)
Charoset (Apples, Walnuts, and Wine)
Z’ro’a (Lamb Bones - we use just lamb)
Matzah (Unleavened Flatbread)
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Luke 22:19-20 (NIV)
Palm Sunday
Please join us as we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem. At Trinity we do a palm parade while Pastor Dan leads us in song through the Sancturary. It is a tradition that starts us off on our journey through Holy Week.
All are Welcome.
A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosannain the highest heaven!”
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” Matthew 21:8-11 (NIV)
Scout Sunday
Please join us on February 18 to celebrate Scout Sunday where we celebrate all the Scouts from Trinity, including Troop 21. All cub scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts and former Scouts are welcome to share in this celebration of the Scouts past and present. Troop 21 will be presenting the colors and Amber B. who is the Scout Master of Troop 21 will be saying a few words as well. This has always been a way for Trinity to honor our Scouts, so please join us.
All Are Welcome!
